Johnston Gilpin & Co. Ltd was established in 1968 to distribute John Deere Agricultural and Horticultural machinery within N. Ireland. In the last 40 years the two depots in Coleraine and Omagh were sold to their managers and the main Lisburn depot was kept to service Co. Down, Co. Armagh and part of Co. Antrim for the Agricultural sector, the whole of N. Ireland and Donegal for the professional grounds care market, and Counties Down, Fermanagh, Armagh, Tyrone and part of Antrim for the domestic grounds care market.

With 22 staff and a turn over of approximately £8 million, the now family run business is continuously expanding, with new properties, new buildings and new products

 

Trail Tec is a small company set up after the demise of Profit trailers.

We decided to set up a division within Johnston Gilpin & Co. Ltd to manufacture professional flat bed and plant trailers from 8’x 5’ to 16’x 6’6” and our own unique 3–Way tipper available as an 8’x 5’ and a 10’x 6’.

 

These trailers are tailored and modified using knowledge gained by members of both the new Trail Tec company and the well established parent company to culminate in what we believe is one of the strongest, easiest towed, well finished and practically thought out trailers on the market.
